Coverage Definitions

 
Replant - A replant payment may be made for part of all of the acreage in a unit. To qualify for a replant payment, you must be given consent and the acreage must be at least the lesser of 20 acres or 20% of the insured planted acreage for the unit.

Prevented Planting - A prevented planting payment may be made for part or all of the acreage in a unit. To qualify for a prevented planting payment, the acreage must be at least the lesser of 20 acres or 20% of the insured planted acreage for the unit. Check with your agent for more details on qualifying for prevented planting.

Late Planting - Acreage that is initially planted after the final planting date qualifies for late planting. This acreage is still insurable for 25 days after the final planting date with an adjustment of 1% per day.

NASS Yields - GRP and GRIP yields are based on NASS yields. The National Agricultural Statistics Service calculates these yields from as much as 30 years of county data.
